Tom Price

Tom Price is a sculptor that is originally from London. He has earned his bachelor's degree from Chelsea College of Arts and a masters degree from Royal College of Arts and Sculpture School. He also earned a Art Foundations Btec diploma from Camberwell School of Art and Design.
Tom Price does a lot of human figures in his sculptures. His sculptures are based on real life actions and motions. He also makes  lot of busts. I like that a lot of things that he's made are all based on real life rather than any exaggerations. He's also done more fantasy like sculptures that seem to come out of another world.
I like this piece because I feel like its just such a simple depiction of life. The material and color of the sculpture have set it apart as a piece of art and it's put in a location that just puts the sculpture in what would be a normal location for the person that is depicted.






This is one of the pieces that drew me to this artist. I thought the trees were so beautifully made. I also like that they are rooted mostly to the floor, or at least depicted that they are. The lights are strategically placed so that they illuminate parts of the tree. I just think that they are just part of a dream land.
